Raspberry Gummy Sugar Coated Candies (100mg per bag)

Our Raspberry Gummy Sugar Coated Candies are soft and delicious. Also, like all our Edibles, these are top quality. In order to reach that 100mg of THC, each pack contains four 25mg gummy candies.

When compared to others, 25mg per gummy is a relatively mild to average experience. THC content in candy tends to reach much higher levels nowadays. As a result, this gummy pack is suggested for the THC gummy novice who would like to try the famous candy body buzz for themselves.

THC Edibles: General Info

As we all know by now, THC Edibles (in its many different forms) is growing in popularity and regularity all over the world. The different flavours, shapes sizes and tastes attract people in droves. Most importantly, it’s a safer intake method than smoking.

It should be known that smoking cannabis is less harmful than smoking tobacco. That being said, smoking is still a lung irritant and not suitable for many patients and recreational users (especially those with a history or elevated risk of respiratory issues).

What are THC Edibles?

Edibles come in many forms, from cookies and brownies to drinks, tinctures, and even spreads. Another term, THC “candy” is a category of edibles that refers to edibles like gummies, chocolate bars, caramels, and even hard candy.

How do THC Edibles differ from smoking buds?

When you ingest marijuana in edible form, your body metabolizes the THC through your liver. In turn, it converts to 11-hydroxy-THC, a metabolite that efficiently crosses the blood-brain barrier, potentially producing a much more intense “high.”

It takes much longer to feel the effects than smoking because the THC must be digested and metabolized by your liver whereas smoking affects users near instantaneously. Moreover, because of this process, THC Edibles affect users for much longer than smoking.

That being said, THC Edibles are bit tricky to set the correct dose amount. When you smoke cannabis, you feel the effects almost instantly. So it’s very easy to self-titrate. Puff puff, pass pass, see how you feel, and smoke more if you want. When it comes to weed candy, it’s not so simple.

What is the correct amount? START LOW, GO SLOW

Many consumers end up overindulging the first time they try edibles. The number one reason people have bad experiences with edibles is that they got dosing advice from a very high tolerance user or a poorly-trained budtender. While a seasoned user may be able to readily consume 80, 150 milligrams, or more, without any issues, for a novice user, these doses are SKY-HIGH! Even 25 – 50 milligrams can totally overwhelm a novice user.

Generally, 10 milligrams constitutes a single serving. But, what does that mean? Is a “single serving” similar to having a single beer or glass of wine? Or does it mean the amount you need to take to feel the euphoric effects of cannabis (e.g., to get “high”)? It could be either depending on the person. For someone who’s never tried edibles — or a person who has a low tolerance — 10 mg can be highly intoxicating. For more seasoned users, they may not feel anything. And, it’s important to note that if you’re consuming cannabis for the therapeutic benefits, lower doses or microdoses often elicit more therapeutic benefits. You don’t need to “feel high” for the medicine to be effective.

The best advice is to start low (like 5 mg), and gradually increase your dose (in 5 to 10 mg increments) until you find your sweet spot. You may want to start with 5 or 10 mg and increase from there. Edibles can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours to take effect, so after your initial dose, wait about an hour before consuming more. Most importantly, if you end up underdosing and don’t feel any effects your first time, don’t sweat it. That’s ok! Just up your dose the next time you try. It may take 2 or 3 times (or more) to find your sweet spot. But, it’s better to ingest too little than too much.

What to Do If You Consume Too Much THC

If you follow our advice by starting low and going slowly, you shouldn’t ever have a bad experience. But, hey, it happens to the best of us! In the event that you overindulge, here are a few tips to calm your high:

1. Don’t panic: It’s virtually impossible to overdose (in the clinical sense) on cannabis. However uncomfortable it may be, the intolerable high will pass soon enough.

2. Hydrate and avoid booze: Cannabis, including weed candy, can cause cotton-mouth, so it’s critically important to rehydrate and drink lots of fluids. While hydration is not going to have a profound effect in neutralizing your high, it will keep it from getting worse, and it’s an important safety measure.

3. Take a bath or a shower: While there’s no evidence (yet) that bathing or showering will accelerate your comedown, either will at least make you feel a bit better. Most importantly, bathing or showering can help you relax while taking the edge off.

Hopefully, you prepared ahead of time and have the following on hand. You can try either or both of the following to help you come down from your high:

4. Take CBD: While CBD acts in complementary ways to THC, it also has some opposing effects. CBD is probably the single best antidote to get rid of your high. Not only is CBD non-psychoactive, it actually neutralizes the intoxicating effects of THC. Make sure you have a high-CBD strain (or tincture) on hand that you can use in the event you overconsume.
